What happened to SFB from October to December

In August 2009,

One of the SFBians, Nash, took part in the late M.J dance impersonation contest "Remember the Time Dance" at Orchard Central. He dance his way to finals through 3 eliminating rounds that happen over 3 weeks and won 3rd Place in the contest.

During October and September

Wansmoof competed in Suntec Dance 2009 Open Solo category and he had to go through 4 grueling rounds before he reached the Final.

On 20th September,

which is the first day of Hari Raya Puasa.

He competed in the final at the Fountain of Wealth, Suntec city. He emerged 3rd and was also awarded Best Costume in the competition.

During July - December

Styles from Beyond joined a dance competition called Dance Crown of Honour 2009. This competition consist of 4 rounds held in Singapore and Malaysia respectively. Finalists from Both countries will meet in the Semi Final and Final in Genting Highland, Malaysia.

SFB made it to the Finals and had to compete 2 different routines with 15 other finalists from Singapore and Malaysia Crews. Styles From Beyond emerged the Champion and walk home $ 10 000, sponsor prizes and a trophy in the first DCOH organised by OMG event company.

On 31st December 2009,

Styles from Beyond, along side with Fantastic Crew performed for the star-studded countdown event which was set against the fantastic view of the Singapore skyline at Marina Bay.

A splendid line-up of performances by homegrown celebrities, artistes from across the region as well as our Singapore Idol finalists, Da Mouth (touted as Asia’s Black Eyed Peas) from Taiwan, Dayang Nurfaizah from Malaysia, Singapore Idol Top 13, Sleeq, John Molina & Krueger, Jack & Rai, Heregoesnoth!ng, The Great Spy Experiment, Juxtapose, Bloco Singapura and Stylez from Beyond.

With exhilarating display of fireworks extravaganza at midnight and with 7-hours of non-stop music with internationally acclaimed DJs Ko Flow, George Leong and Kennerve. Countdown with the nation was a blast!!!

What happened from March - September 2009

Hi PPL!
Let us look back and see what's SFB has been up to since March Last year 2009.

In March,

Styles From Beyond competed in Singapore Best Dance Crew 2009 and made it to the Semi Final but we didn't made it to the Final.

SFB Archive Vid:

Joyce and the Boys won the competition and represented Singapore in World Hip Hop @ Nevada, Las Vegas where they brought glory to SG by winning 3rd .

In June,

Zaihar, Wansmoof and Hanif joined 2 Da Street Dance Competition (Solo Category) by SG Street Festival, Electric Youth and they won 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.

On 27th June last year 2009,
Mud and Hanif joined an Open Solo category in a Dance competition called Lah! De'Fuse Dance Competition at Bukit Batok CC. Mud was announced as the champion in the dance competition.

Ben began my dance journey in early 2001, and the first dance style i picked up was Popping. He first inspirations included Mr. Wiggles and Mr. Animation.Back then during that time, He was the leader of the crew FUYO, at the same time, being their only popper. Since then, Ben have undergone training overseas under members of Wrecking Crew Orchestra and ACKY (of the Fab 5 Boogz).

Up till date, some of his achievements include winning champion in both the Hip Hop and Popping categories in Floor The Love 2007.

Also, apart from perfoming and choreographing for both local and international artistes, he have also judged for various dance battles and competitions within this year including:

Funkystylers Night Out, NTU Hip Hop Nite, Lime's Funkmeister Dance Competition and K.O. Night.

His latest stint is the recent Snickers "Hungry" TV Ad Campaign, as one of the main dancers.

Teaching/specialty/style: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced Hiphop, Newstyle, Krump,

Girl Hiphop

A professional Filipino dancer and choreographer based in the Philippines.

Cheska is a core member of Team Vibe in the Philippines, an all-Filipino dance team who actively participates in the international setting of dance. Promoting the world class talent of Filipino dance to countries in Asia. They are the 2007 Asia Pacific Masters Dance Champion (HipHop category) held in Malaysia and 2nd Place Team Competition World Streetdance Championship 2008 @ Eindhoven,Netherlands.

Cheska recently won 3rd in the Solo female battle category at the world streetdance championship 2008 in Eindhoven, Netherlands.
She is also a pioneer member of the first krump crew in the Philippines called "Krumpinoy" founded by Patrick Caballa of the Philippine Finest World’s Champion Hip Hop crew The AllStars. Her line of dance include the different styles of Hiphop from the foundational locking, popping and Breakdance to the Newstyle hiphop and Krumping.

On 31st August 2008, SFB took part in a competition By NOKIA and 98.7FM.

SFB was announced the Winner for the Avril Lavigne "The Best Damn Dance" and won themselves a new NOKIA 5320 XpressMusic Phone each.

SFB was also given the chance to HANG around with Avril and perform for her Opening Act of

Avril Lavigne "The Best Damn Tour" Concert.

SFBian's Winnings and Finalists in recent Competitions

Firstly, LIME’s Funkmeisters

Amsyar was announced as the Champion for LIME’s Funkmeisters Final @ Bugis Junction, Bugis Square , Level 1 last weekend on 23rd of August 2008.

He received an advance Birthday gift by LIME magazine. He won himself a cash prize money of $1000 in the Solo/Duo category and photoshoot with LIME Magazine.

Rated PG was the 1st runner up in the competition followed by styless.
Mud and Wah! did managed to get into the Final too but didnt make it to the TOP 3 spots.

In group category, FX crew was announced as the Champion.

SFBian did proud by getting 2 out of 3 placing in the competition.

Styles From Beyond Journey to the Final of Hop2DaBeat Malaysia

Hop2DaBeat Street Dance Competition 2008.

The Competition was one of the major dance competition in Malaysia where 4 different states from all over Peninsula Malaysia was helding its Audition and prelimanary rounds. Among this states are from Seremban, Johor Bahru, Klang Valley and Ipoh. After Crews compete in Audition and Prelimanary rounds at a stated date Top 3 Crews from each state will qualified to the final round and will meet the rest in Sunway Pyramid to compete for the Grand Prize of RM10,000 + Plaque.

Its Started of on 25th MAY 2008 at JOHOR BAHRU where we head over for our Audition round. We went over to SMK Sri Tebrau where the audition was venued. There we met alot of Malaysia crews which are representing JOHOR BAHRU.
We make a lot of New Malaysian Dance friends over at the event.We were blessed to qualify to the next round as all the crews were really good.

Going Back Home To Our Homeland, Singapura.

On 21st of June, Styles From Beyond head again to Johor Bahru, Malaysia to compete in the Prelimanary round of the competition.

It was held in City Square Shopping Mall near the causeway.
Infront of a crowd, we proudly represent Singapore in a competition orgnised by our neighbouring country.

We made it and qualify to the Final at Sunway Pyramid on 25th of July.

Our Weeks of Training did paid of and Thank God to give us opportunity to be in the Final.

Later, We will meet up more of Malaysian Top Dance crews and we really excited to meet them.

Making more friends out of country and representing Singapore is a honour and a great achievement for Styles From Beyond.

On that day too, Styles From Beyond first shirt Design was debute.
And our Malaysian friends were the first to see it. :)

On 5th and 6th July,

We head back to Malaysia to a all paid Workshop over in Inti- UC Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. There, we met more crews from Malaysia and our competitors who are in the final for the competition.

We had a great time over there as we mingle and get along and get to know each other.

During the two days workshop, Raymond and Bobby ( the main judges for the competition ) taught all of us popping,locking,toprocking,house,some krumping and LA Hiphop.

We did learnt alot and had a lot of fun there. we have fun Fooling around while dancing, Having open sessions by our homies PROJECT ELEMENTS n ELECOLDXHOT.

At one point, in an introducing session, we introduced ourselve in Mandarin. :)

We have nice Meals, nice place to stay and really nice companies.

Malaysian Crews are really great!!

We had a pleasent time there.

Styles From Beyond did several shows and competitions back in June.
SFB did achieved several achievements in June too.
Lets look back what happened in June for SFB.

On 1st June, SFB represent Singapore in Malaysia to compete for a dance competition and was won second and won ourself some prizes from Sony. ( More Detail on our previous Entry)

On 5th - Styles From Beyond (Phiz,Amsyar,Hanif) Collaboration with (JDI) and called themselve Surreal Beat Hiters emerged Champion at the TOP Dawg Party @ Club The ARENA.

SFB was representing Singapore to compete in a dance competition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 1st June 2008.

A Dance Comepetition Held by Sony Malaysia at Boulevard Berjaya Time Square. Styles From Beyond Emerged 1st runner Up after a long day of competing.

We qualified for the prelimanary round and then on the same day for the Final.. Below is some pictures on our journey to Kuala Lumpur.

First things first, SFBians & Tres Roses took part in Anti-Drug Danceworks 2008 Prelims.
they got into the Finals by a close margin.
Alhamdullilah!
It was definitely a tough fight. Only 4 spots were available for the Finals in the Open Category.

On 25th August 2007,
SFB Transformed and danced to save the EARTH!!!!
SFBotz gone thru the Final for Suntec Dance 2007 and
this is the First time SFB GEt in t the Final after the 2nd Failed Attempt in Previous Years...

Serious... If u guy dun believe......

LEt me tell you the History:'

We firstly join SUNTEC was in 2003 wif 4 of US... thats is Phiz,Mud,Wansmoof and Khai..
but failed to qualify but NANEP emerged Champion for Junior Catergory...

Then again in 2004, We joined again but this time wif 7 of Us... all of the SFBian except ZAi as he was not in SFB yet...
But Back Then it was Danial Asyrik who was wif Us...
Dat means Wansmoof,Khai,Azura,Mud,Phiz,Nanep and Danial....
But Phiz Emerged Champion for the OPEN Catergory for that year...

In 2005, SFB took a break from Suntec and did not took part in it

but for ZAi, he Emerged Champion for the OPEN Catergory for that year...

Now SFB returned in 2007 and was blessed to go thru to the Final this time round!!!

We Finally did it and rollin to the Final of SUNTEC DANCE 2007..

ALL of SFB has their fair share of werk to do like painting the cars and etc....
Its was sooo tiring that we all fall asleep halfway..

Then we rise again ard 4am to pract a little and by six in THE MORNING...
Everything was doned!!!
Phew....

Off we go to suntec the Next day!!

before to Suntec we have a Show at Bukit Batok CC in the Afternoon ard 2plus for an Opening of arrival of VIPs...

Update, update, update time. What a busy month for all of us SFBians. So sorry for not updating for so long. We are currently busy with RE:MIX'07 Dance Competition which will be happening at National Youth Park on 28th July '07 at 6pm. We are having practises everyday - preparing for our item for RE:MIX. Good afternoon my lovely lovely people! =)

How are you all doing? Hope you guys are doing great!

Well...as usual, we are busy preparing for upcoming shows and competitions and have little time to update. Sorry about that yah. Thank you to those who understand =) Muah muah lah! Hahahah! Groove here and I'm not gonna update about dance. It's something else.

Last week we went to meet up at Newton to discuss about shows and stuff and at the same time, our brother, Khai a.k.a Yellow Ranger (Haha!) belanja SFBians makan at the foodcourt nearby! Powerlah seeeeeeey!

We ordered Black Pepper Beef Chicken, Kangkong (Kongkeng! ;p), Fried Baby Squid, Fried Rice...some more what ah? Hmmm..Pork Chop!....eh no no! Salah lah! Hahahah! Kidding only eh =p I can't remember sey. What I remember was I eat, eat and EAT! That's all! Huahaha! Usually the rice comes first then the other dishes right? But instead, the dishes came first and the rice much, much later on.

While waiting for the rice, we discussed about shows and what competitions we want to join. Phiz, Wansmoof and myself was already starving by then and we were taking bits of everything until Kak ASMAI scolded us =(....heheh! Sorry lah sister. We hungry already mah! So tempting you know.

Anyways, SFB sure ate a lot and on behalf of SFB (I know this happen many days ago but)...
We wanna THANK KHAI for the treating us to a sumptuous and wonderful meal! Semoga panjang umur dan murah rezeki kau ye Khai =) In the future, belanja lagi k =p

So yah, what's our upcoming shows and competitions ah SFBians? Makan banyak sampai tak pay attention ah...

I'm just bored now. Cannot proceed further with my project because the software I need to use takes 2 hours to download.

I'm currently working on my final year project. I'm doing website of my group. I feel that the current website, which the page you are at, is simple looking and I want to do a makeover of the website. It will only be completed next year, around february. Once it is done, we'll upload it.

Now we are having several performances soon. Earning some extra $$$ at the same time. Syukur!

Yo wads up!

Last sunday, some of us sfbians had an event at expo. It was quite a big event. I don't know what is the name of the event. It's a dinner and dance thingy and they also had a dance competition between companies like Giant, Guardian, Cold Storage and 7-Eleven. Initially abuwan was the one who handled the thing with khai but later had to go Aussie so khai, phiz and azura helped to choreograph (for Giant). They had difficulties with attendance for the first few practises but managed to get everything back to normal. They told me they only had full attendance on the the day before the competition.

Honestly, i was impressed with what they did, considering they had few practises with the Giant staff. I was smiling throughout watching the performance. Great job guys!

Quick update on what happened and whats happening the past few weeks...

Fellow soloists (Phiz, Zai, Nanep & Khai) got consolation prize for Step Up Dance Competition. Congrats to Top 3 winners LUSH, Machindians & MATK Inc! Mazlan (LUSH) & Zak (Machindians) had to battle for 1st place because there was a tie between the two groups. Both did a great but the better won!

SFB didn't clinch top 3 for the PULSE Hip Hop Dance Competition...cock ups here and there. With more practise, we can do better.

Lesson learned: Don't join any competition when the date is near. Easier said, last minute! Hahak! Like i said, success means NOTHING without HARDWORK.

We gonna do our best for "THE BIG COMPETITION"! More hardwork, more serious and try our best to commit to it. Will try to have fun along the way but (quoted from someone) "if really for fun, might as well let others who are serious about it have the chance." I agree...

K lah...gotta go now! Don't forget to watch the Dancefloor on 5! ;p

Its was CHILDREN"S DAY!!!!!! and we was at Toa Payoh West CC performing for the launching of Youth Club there....

WE became MSAFTKB and perform an enjoyable show to the audience with unexpected gimmicks and quick thinking positioning on stage.. hehehe.....
We do have a lot of fun that day...

We went then went Over to United Square where Winx's Club Dance competition was held and did a show on that very day without any planning watsoever....
We just grab a slot and Taaadaaaa, we perform!!! and yar, Trisya and Kim was competing in that competition in a solo category......

but We MSAFTKB were left with few of us. MSAFTKB were left with wansmoof, groove, phiz, hanip, syazlin, liyana, shahiran and shazran did a show...

Weeeeee!!! we had a great time and we sure being crazy at that moment of time.... we just created our position on the spot and just do wat's best...

Hey guys!!! This an update on what had happened last month.....
SFB has been busy with several performances and competing in some major competititons in the month of September. We have been Cracking our heads every single week and burning the midnight oil training.
This has become a routine to our group during the whole month of September.

Now lets check out what some of the things that happened... Enjoi !!!!

10th,17th,27th - Wade RobSon's Overdrive Dance Competition Prelim, Quarter, semis-Final - Styles From Beyond (SFB)

This comp have been going on since three months ago..... where SFB made it to the Knock Out Stage in the 10th of Septhember.....
The Audition was first held way back in August where SFB sent a 2 mins video of our showcase and was surprise to be shortlisted to the next round. During that time, SFB representing SINGAPORE was in Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA, competing in another comp there.... an cant made it to the audition day so alternative and just gamble our luck by sending a video for the comeptition.

By then, since September SFB had been Busy practising for the competition every single week to produce new set of routines to please the judges and our fellow audience... It was really really tiring and exhausting weeks....But we were sooo determined and keep our spirit high.... Hanif was the first one in our group to to be out in the quarter final round in the solo category.... But Zaihar and SFB stayed.....

We reached to the semis and was sooooo closed to be in the Final and standing on the great stage of Esplanade theartre, but we didn't made it there....
Well.....It was Okay, we had to lose some day rite... but no worries cause we had alot of fun during that time and gain alot of experiences..Since then We became a stronger dancers...... Only one of us who made it to the grand stage and will be presenting Styles From Beyond and that is Zaihar ( Groove ) in the solo category.....

You deserve it yeah!!! Congratz to ZAIHAR ( Groove ) to make it to the Final... Go Groove and make us proud!!!! All the way man!!!! Others who made it are Sharin from B.A.D, Ali from KL, Daniel from 'O' crew and Groups who made it are One crew, 'O' crew, Fantastic 4, The Fuse.... The Final will be grooving on 13th of OCT in the esplanade theatre with WADE ROBSON as one of the guest judge....

29th - Children's day celebration at River Valley Primary School

It was a fun performace so to say as we received an awesome crowd of young primay students screaming and screaming excitedly.. We too was enjoying ourselve by getting student to join us dance in the mid of our performance... We really love entertaining them... River Valley was really happening that day and we love to visit them again... its bring alot of memories to ourselves as we remember good old days as young kids.... haiz..... hehehehe....
We really like to thanks the teachers from RIVER VALLEY PRIMARY who invited us to their school and trustins our capablities to entertain their student....
We will like to thankx the student too for being a great audience to us..

Its was some Street Basketaball performance that we did for an half time show of the game...
It was interesting show as to say.... We have a great time there too....

15th - "Rentak Singapura" - Styles From Beyond (SFB)

Rentak Singapura @ D'Marquee, Downtown East....

SFB was a back up dancers for some of the local MALAY artists on that event.
This was an evening where Local Malay artists ranges from the "Old Timers" to New, young artists came together to give a entertaining performance to the their beloved FANs.
Kimberly Spears was there too to performance with one of the local artist. She was really Great on stage!!!!
We had a great time there and it has been a memorable event to be remember still.....

We Have gone three stages of the competition since the last three weeks ago and its' has come to this... "THE FINALE"

We Have Gone through the Audition with just two men representing our group. They are Wansmoof and Nanep as the rest were at Kuala Lumpur competing in a competition there too.

Then again, the semis, We short of members as most of them can't make it as they had their personal commitment to handle which we kol it "WOrk"...

Only Zai,Mud,Phiz and Nanep who was competing then and we was surprise again to make it to the FINAL.

Now THE FINAL is here. And one last obstacle to be overcome By SFB.
This Saturday, 09th september 2006, 3:00pm, will be the day.. HAhahahah ( Evil Laugh )
This time Every Members From SFB that Wan,Phiz,Zura,Mud,Zai,Nanep &Khai will be Down to the Dancefloor of "Street Style Slam @ Marina Square."

Don't Forget Too MATK Inc who Will Be there too COmpetiting in same catergory as US (Ooopss!!) But no matter what Support US yeap!!! MSAFTKB OK!!!

Hello our fellow friends!

We, SFBians, had just won the Samsung Ultra Seduction Dance Competition 2006 which was held at Suntec Convention Hall 602, in conjunction with the Asian WCG Championships.

We were actually surprised that we won. We didn't expect it. You know why? It's because we had the lowest votes for the audition and after hearing that 4o% of the votes constitute to the overall score, we thought we couldn't make it. Only three groups will qualify for the finals. We thought O Crew, Fuse and Steezers were the top 3 (based on votes and performance). But when the host announced that we were in the top 3, we were very very surprised and of course thankfull!!! O Crew and Fuse made it to the Finals. Even before the finals or the results were announced, we didnt expect to win because O Crew & Fuse were equally good.

Honestly, we practised from 12am to 6am. Thankfully we got everything done. We were not fully prepared but just went on with one thing in mind - to entertain the audience! So we did!

Thanks to those who supported or voted for us! Just to name some (those i can remember): MATK and Family, Dear (Filzah), Rebecca and Elson, Marqius and the HHK Company, Sandra, Devianators, Azlan, this two guys from Urban Vibes (i don't know their names, sorry!), Z from Steezers and her friend, Karl, Tajjlee, Syamsul, KJ, Ewan, the judges and many more! Without you guys, we don't think we can make it!

Though we won, we would like to give our respects to the other groups - they were dope too!

Another achievement, more hardworks to come....

Hey! Hey! Hey! Wan here and Im Back to Update all About SFB the past Months.. What had happened all this while for Us... A Full run down of Event, Performance and Competition SFB Groove their moves in the month of May and April..

29th April 2006 - Levis Free to Move Dance Competition @ Bugis Junction

Three of SFB members get themselves a spot in the final for Levis Free To Move dance competition which was held in BUGIS. They are Phiz, Zai in Duo and Mud in solo performance. Hafiz (Phiz) and Zai (Groove), the RATED PG, clinched the first place in Solo/Duo Category and Mahadir (Mud) missed to place himself in the top three spot but Even so He did entertain the crowd with his crazy stylish moves that made the crowd goes WILD. All of the other participates were Great and do congrats to all of the winners and finalist who had made it this far...

1st May 2006 - A Friendship Day @ Clementi Stadium

Two Islands, Singapore and Batam came together in a friendship day event @ Clementi Stadium. it was a fun with games against two islanders. there was a great joy as families, friends,childrens having fun and building a strong bond frienship among two Nations, Island, culture and differences.
at the end of the whole event MSAFTKB came along as a guest performace to sum up the whole event in a dance performance. We Rox The Place Like no Others... It was an Exciting Day as we came as one again to do an awesome show. Two thumbs up for MSAFTKB!!

11th May 2006 - Krunk Krib @ Club Home

Rated PG Break their Legs thru The Late Night to Pump it Up the whole club House.
Not to be missed, Mud came along to groove In a solo number with his sleek and crazy dance routine.

27th May - Rated PG Showcase @ Ngee Ann Civic Plaza

Rated PG, Levis Free To Move CHAMPION, grooved and showcased their moves to the Audience and breakaway to the people heart.

20th - 22nd May, 2006 - HipHop Competition @ Shangri La Hotel In Kuala Lumpur

SFB went abroad representing Singapore to the neighboring country to compete in a HIP HOP dance competition which was held in Kuala Lumpur. All of the locals dancers were great and SFB made a lot of friends there. Again SFB keep on rocking the stage and keep on entertaining the crowd in a foreign country.
The competition consist of three stages; preliminary, semis and final. SFB overcome all three stages and SFB won the first place in the competition. Congratulation Guys!

28th May 2006 - Celebrating Dumpling Festival @ Toa Payoh East CC

SFB and MATK inc. Perform at an event at Toa Payoh East CC with a special guest appearance by me myself who just came back from Tekong straight away to perform with SFB with clueless info on the dance routine. But Overall it was fun in the end. MATK inc showcased their CUTE dance routine and SFB breaking all the way on the stage floor. It was really a Family event where we, MSAFTKB and Family comes together to enjoy the evening once again.

2nd June, 2006 - Groove Nation @ Marina Square

An event called Groove Nation @ Marina Square Shopping Mall attracting passer by and entertaining them with our groovacious moves. We came together to promote Marina Square 3rd Level floor late night shopping spree with the conjunction of GREAT SINGAPORE SALE season.

8th June, 2006 - NEWS UPDATE!!!! The Biggest Achievement by MATK inc!!

MATK Inc WON First yeah First place in the OPEN Category in DANCE Explosion Competition... yes I said it again OPEN CATEGORY!!!!! Beating most of the participants who are twice their age.. Can u believe that??? This talented Young ones that have been truly blessed by their dearest Loved ones, especially their parents and dont forgetting the one above for this unbelievable and extraordinary achievement. ON 8th June 2006 is the day to remember!!!!

MATK Inc WON First yeah First place in the OPEN Category in DANCE Explosion Competition… yes I said it again OPEN CATEGORY!!!!! Beating most of the participants who are twice their age.. Can u believe that??? This talented Young ones that have been truly blessed by their dearest Love ones, especially their parents and don’t forgetting the one above for this unbelievable and extraordinary achievement. We here the Bros and Sis of SFB REALLY really proud with the achievement they had gain and wishes them congratulation for the winning.

Wello everyone! Here is an update on what happened in the previous weeks!!
Here is a brief report on March PLUS the Danceworks Finale 2006 on 1st April 2006!!!

Lets us see what happened in the recent weeks :

4 March: Youth Donor Club RoadShow @ Heeren with MATK Inc. & Hell Nation

It was fun and happening! We create awareness to the public and show our support to this wonderful event. We just like to say, MATK Inc and Hell Nation showcased a superb performance!! Well done guys!

After MATK and US performed, we were requested to do an extra performance. This time round, as MATK Inc + SFB = MSAFTKB!!!! So we geared up and ready to go!!! You may have seen it but its a little bit messy. Anyway do enjoy it yeap. ;p

5 March: Anugerah Planet Muzik Roadshow @ Tanjong Katong Complex

We messed up a lil bit but it was all good! The crowd was on every level of the shopping centre! We didnt expect a big crowd.
So the ROADSHOW was over! Next, SFB will be on the grand stage LIVE on TV SURIA!!!

11 March: Opening of RC cum some Civil Defence stuff @ Toa Payoh CC

5 of us performed for this one. The stage was BIG enough for.....2 people! Yup! Only 2 people! Believe It! How did we manage to do that? WE are not that pretty sure...Hmmmzzz!?!? HEHEHEHE! But we had GREAT FUN running to our position Up N Down the Stage.
MATK Inc performed a few minutes later. They, too, had FUN on STAGE! After that, nenek was invited to sing. She sang CHINESE song yaw! DOPE! And also a cha cha song. The crazy part is a few of us (and don't FORGET the parents TOO!!) went front-stage to CHA CHA! FUN!FUN!FUN! WooooHHoooooOO!!!! CHA CHA CHA!!!!

Same day: Show @ Singapore Expo

We head off to Singapore Expo Hall 5 for a BABYCARE Show. We performed as MSAFTKB!!! A HUGE crowd turned up and they were loud yaw! Loud enough that only the person who is beside you could hear it! Heheheh! GO FIGURE!
I guess they were stunned that we perform an ANTI-DRUG item in a BABY event. Hahakz!

16 March: Romp @ Zouk (Hip-Hop Dance Competition)

Awww!! Damn!
WE LOST!!! Wooohooo! Well Its Ok Win some lose some. Aniway We got $50 Takashimaya voucher!! COOOOOOLLLL! BLUEEKKKK!!! Enuff said! ;p

17 March: Totally Booked @ TRL!!! Not MTV - Its Tampines Regional Library ;p

Its an event by Beats Society. BFC and SFB was invited to be part of a small talkshow where he introduce us to the scene to let them know us a lil bit better.
As usual, emcees performed their item and we break for one of the groups. BFC had to left early coz they went to Floorskillz Asia 2006 to support their crew mates.
SFB then ended the event with our Anti-Drug Danceworks Prelims item. Again! actually it was a last minute request. Luckily mahadhir brought the CD. The crowd liked it! We enjoyed it! Yeah!!

18 March: DanceNow Anti-Smoking Dance Competition

SFB joined Category B (for 17 years and above) whereas MATK Inc joined Category A (for those below 17).

MATK Inc did well with their awesome moves and dance coordination. The crowd goes wild as their name was being announced! Unfortunately, there was a slight technical problem in the middle of their dance but with the experience the kids have, they were able to cover up the problem and finish the performance superbly...A standing ovation to them. Yeah!!

SFB did their thing and you know what? We actually finished our mix back stage...but with our capabilities and help from the Almighty, we make it happened like there were no problems at all. We amazed the mums and dads of MATK inc as they thought that SFB was going to do the same old routine but we had a lil twist to the item.

Now The results??!!

SFB and MATK inc. WON first place in their respective categories…WOOHOOO!! Alhamdulillah...We did it again!

24th March 2006: The day where we met the STARS! @ ANUGERAH PLANET MUZIK (APM)

Anugerah Planet Muzik (APM), an annual Malay Music Awards is a joint event consist of 3 neighbouring countries; Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. Its like MTV Music award. It was aired Live on Suria Channel at 8:30 pm.

Well, MSAFTKB and Unlimited Flava perform. Here are the break down:
- MATK INC danced for Ahli Fiqir (Local Hiphop Group)
- Phiz, Groove, Khai & Mahadhir (SFB) danced for Taufik Batisah (1st Singapore Idol)
- Asami, Nanep & Mahadhir again! (SFB), Karl (UF), Filzah (UF) and Taj danced for Nikki (Malaysian Idol Top 6)

Many things to say but we think, just leave it to the videos & pictures---ENJOY! ;)

1st April: DANCEWORKS! FINALS 2006

" Halo halo everyone! it's been a great great great experience so far preparing for DanceWorks! 2006! there are lots of people i wanna thank but before that, im gonna tell you what happen on Saturday, 1st of April 2006.

Saturday morning: 8.30 a.m i was the first person to wake up. i the rest (phiz, nanep & mud) was still sleeping. me and mud overnight at phiz's house. i went to check the props ive asked them to do the night before. the placards was half done! the cursor and pills was not done yet.

the text on the placards was quite small though its in A3 size. so i went to Wan's laptop to resize the text again. after a lil' bit of adjustment, it was finally bigger. i woke phiz up along the way to help me with the printing. we cut the numbers and text and mount them on the placards. phiz's father, mud and nanep woke up minutes later and help finish the props (the cursor, the pills and syringe).

while they are finishing the props, i went to re-edit the mix to make it shorter coz initially our mix was exceeded for half a minute. that's too much! so i increased the tempo of all the songs and finally i managed to shorten the exceeded time by half.

12 p.m
we left the house with quite a handful of big props, took a cab and meet the rest at UCC (the venue) itself. mud, khai and azura was not there yet. mud and phiz's dad went to search for white pants for nanep. me and phiz got our white pants from cik siti and cik lin. thanks yah! khai got dance class (teaching kids, not learning...hehe) and azura was from work. i didnt know dear was there since morning! i thot she was not coming until i called her. she was seating in the front row seat. you ah...reach already dun wan to tell me...naughty girl! hehe...

the organizers this time around were very strict. we were "treated like prisoners" - lunch have to be collected group by group, you have to wear the tags at ALL times, and much more. and you know what's worst? there is no reception at the dressing room coz it was located....underground! we kept going up and down just to contact the rest of our group members and supporters....!

rehearsals:
we had two rehearsals, the 2nd one was full dress (but we were half dressed...hehe!). for the first rehearsal, wan, azura and mud was not there but for the 2nd one, every one was there. during the first rehearsal, i didn't feel nervous at all but after the 2nd rehearsal and seeing all the groups, i started to feel very nervous and stressed out! actually i wasn't happy with our rehearsals coz all of us did mistakes - mainly positions and timing. i knew our item was just...ok but a lil' bit messy..

4 p.m plus:
i couldn't stop thinking about the group after that. i had no appetite for lunch. me and wan observed our video which we took during rehearsal and tried to find a way to solve the problems we faced. initially, there are quite a few things that we are supposed to do but in the end we decided not to. we did a mini rehearsal inside the dressing room. you know what? i think the toilet is bigger than the dressing room! we shared the room with YeaBah. they made noise but i dun mind...they are having fun! that's not wrong....that's good!

7 p.m:
by this time, we could hear the crowd screaming for all the groups although we are inside our dressing rooms. the crowd boost my morale a lil' bit. i couldn't wait to perform for them! group by group was ushered to the backstage. i saw some of the groups from the secondary category performed. man, they were good! then comes the open category. little white riding hoods were up first. i have to say, they were power sia! even before they perform, i knew it. great bunch of guys! before we went on stage, i told myself that we are performing an encore. we are doing this for the crowd! with this mindset, we went on stage.....

the BIG show!:
the crowd was FANTASTIC! THEY WERE WILD! THEY WERE CRAZY! THEY WERE LOUD!!! WoohoooOOOO!!! i danced like its our last performance for ever! i gave my best! eh no....
WE gave our best! after our performance and knowing how the crowd was like, i don't care whether we win or not coz my goal has already been achieved - to entertain the crowd and have fun!

after the BIG show!:
we went back to the dressing room, shouting and chanting M-S-A-F-T-K-B! M-S-A-F-T-K-B! HAHAH! we were so so happy except for wan. he was not fully satisfied coz he did not dance the usher part! pity u man! but i kept telling him, "forget it! you heard how the crowd was like! so relax!" but im sure he had fun, especially when he's out of tekong and was with us! a few minutes later, there was a knock on the door.
i opened it and a group from the secondary category (i dunno what's the group's name??) wanted to take pictures with us (or mainly the kids??? hmmm...)! a few minutes later, we were ushered backstage to prepare for the prize presentation. while waiting for the results, MSAFTKB and a few of the guys from Little White Riding Hoods played "Chop Chilli Chop"! haha! we were so funny! after that we played "Pass the Message"!
at first, this game was played among us, until Mr. Silat (mud) passed the message to other groups which then lead to a chain reaction. hehehe! soon we went on stage, feeling happy that we have entertained the crowd! everyone can't wait for the results! all teams and their supporters did great!

the results! (very very nerve-wrecking!):
3rd > YeaBah
2nd > Little White Riding Hoods
1st > MSAFTKB!!!
our supporters went crazy when they announced us the winners!!! no words can describe how happy we were! unfortunately, they wasn't an encore...haiz...nvm. we felt like superstars! snapshots after snapshots! took pictures with the hosts. woohooo! hehe! went back to the dressing room to pack up. then go eat at the reception. didnt eat much. still in the "i-can't-believe-we-won" mood...hehe! we went home in a coach! yes! no lah...just a big bus that looks like a coach...ermm...i dunno ah! anyways, watch the video OVER AND OVER AGAIN at cik lin's house...hahah! tak jelak-jelak aku ni....! BEST!
